Living a Life Full of Wonder

.

Though it is duly noted that I am way too far behind with my blogging, I will say that I have at least three drafts of stories that will be shared with all you American friends shortly. So note that story time is indeed coming soon!

Today, us Swissans were gifted with a beautiful and sunny day! So I was instantly motivated to soak up as much Vitamin D as the Switzerland sun can give, and quickly share a special post with the world.

I am currently located on a rustic terrace overlooking all of old-town Fribourg, belonging to a quaint coffee shop down the street from my flat. It has panned out to be a peaceful morning as I am surrounded by coffee drinkers and newspaper readers who seem to have no bus to catch, no meeting to prepare, and no reason to stress. Today I am feeling some extra love. Not for any particular reason, but mostly due to all of the European beauty held in the simplest things around me. I tell you, all it takes is a quick look out my window at the Swiss Alps and aged buildings, and I'm filled with so much life. It's like my recharge button.

.

There is a tranquil feel to this part of Fribourg indeed. While the area uptown near the train station has more of a city feel, filled with people walking across streets and in and out of stores, the area down here near the Cathedral and bridge, brings a comfort and quietness to your day. So as I sit here in this hipster coffee shop with aged wooden tables and mismatching table settings, I am inclined to look back at my journey thus far living overseas.
